Dreamweaver King of The Lake Tournament Series 2025
The Dreamweaver King of The Lake is a premier salmon fishing tournament series on Lake Ontario, featuring three highly competitive events
So, why not crown the ultimate King of the Lake? By bringing together a series of tough competitions, we challenge the best teams and recognize the top-performing group of the season.
But why create a series? Why connect these already successful big-lake tournaments? The answer is simple: competition fuels passion. Every year, as I speak with tournament committees, teams, and anglers, one thing is clear—we love to compete.
In the world of freshwater big game fishing, this is our Major League. We provide a stage for elite anglers to showcase their skills, push their limits, and rise to the top. Since the tournament’s inception 25 years ago—when local legend Larry Schroeder claimed the first title—we’ve seen an undeniable demand for this level of competition.
Now, it’s your turn to make history. Who will be crowned King of the Lake this year?
–St. Catharines – April 25-27
–Multi-Port Shootout – June 28
-Cobourg – August 15-16

Spring King of the Lake St Catharines, Ontario

Our Spring event is the longest-running and most eagerly awaited competition on the lake. As the first event of the year, teams are craving to test their skills against the largest field and toughest competition. And let’s not forget—the fishing is always incredible!
The 2024 event lived up to expectations, with great weather and an impressive number of catches. Most teams brought in full boxes, making for an exciting weigh-in. In the end, Team Pacific Time clinched the victory, narrowly edging out Team Nemesis—both representing Pennsylvania.
Two days of intense competition—team vs. team, angler vs. angler—all on one lake. Who will claim the 2025 championship?

Cobourg Dreamweaver King of the Lake
August 15-16
(Entry coming soon)
The City of Cobourg is one of the best venues that we have been to host an event like this. This beautiful marina is nested in the downtown core with restaurants, bars and a campground next door. On top of this, we have put our event on the same weekend as the well know and attended Rotary clubs RIBFEST.
2024 was a great finish to our series, fishing was challenging at times from fish being inside of 80ft and stretched to the line. Whoever got on em did very well. Team Miller Time Capt: Troy Meeboer took the win with a fish late in the day to put them over the top. Second place was Capt: Mike Fox and team Loonatics and rounding third place Capt Jeff Savard or Team Get It Wet #2.
This event is a one day shootout for top 6 fish and a Big Fish Friday attached to it.
Cobourg is an outstanding venue for hosting events like ours. Located in the heart of the downtown core, this picturesque marina is surrounded by local restaurants, bars, and a nearby campground. To make things even better, we’ve timed our event to coincide with the popular Rotary Club’s RIBFEST, ensuring an even bigger crowd and more fun.
The 2024 season wrapped up beautifully, though fishing posed some challenges, with fish hiding in waters deeper than 80 feet and testing anglers’ skills. However, those who managed to hook them had great success. Team Miller Time, led by Captain Troy Meeboer, claimed the top spot with a late catch that secured their victory. Following them in second place was Captain Mike Fox and Team Loonatics, while Captain Jeff Savard and Team Get It Wet #2 took third.
This event is a thrilling one-day competition, where the top 6 fish are celebrated, along with a special Big Fish Friday prize

Overall Team of the Year

In our opinion this is the ultimate prize on the lake. The longer the competition, the more fish per day weighted in and the more events that participate without throwing out bad scores allow the best team to rise to the top. I hear “I should have entered”. Its definitely easy to say that at the end when participating without pressure.
Our past winners, Salmon Quest, Striker, Two Fish and Vision Quest and many others in past 20 years have been crowned the Kings. 2025 did not disappoint, fishing was real good across the lake and teams flip flopped on the scoreboard. At the end Capt: Clint Macaulay of Team Get It Wet #3 took the win, edging teammate Team Get it Wet and Team Accomodations des 21 from Quebec

2024 WINNERS
- 1. Get it Wet- Capt Clint Macauley – 447.38
- 2. Get it Wet – Capt Yvan Charrois – 432.39
- 3. Accomodations des 21- Capt Mathieu Aubin – 414.38
